Hey!

If you are here then you probably want to know what on earth this vegan milk is?

Lately, I’ve been trying some vegan milk, mainly soy milk..because that’s the only plant based milk available in my area and it’s a bit of a task to do the process at home.

You must be thinking it’s a modern thing but naah naah..

Let’s divide into the history of plant based milk:

The first time plant based milk was mentioned was in the 11th century in one of the Iraqi recipe books. In the 1600s records show that Soy milk used to be consumed in China. Around the 1800s one of the French traveler visited China and in 1910, the first soy milk dairy was set up near Paris. Later, In 1921, a company called Vita Rice Products produced and sold rice milk in San Francisco. Gradually There were startup companies that came up with the same idea during 1930–1970. In 1990 Oatly Sweden based company was the world’s largest oat milk seller. In the 2000s many types of milk were introduced like coconut milk, cashew milk, pea milk, hemp milk, peanut milk and so on.

Benefits of Vegan Milk:

  • Non Dairy Milk is So Good and wholesome and an appropriate substitute to dairy milk

Yes, certainly this dairy alternative is so filling , Contains low calories and low fat. Even certain milk like soy is a great source for protein and has cancer fighting properties.

  • It’s fit for lactose intolerant people

If after consuming dairy milk you feel disturb stomach or bloating then you better switch to vegan milk.

  • It gives your stomach an easy time

I’ve been trying it lately so i would definitely say that it feels so light.

  • Is gluten free
  • It is Cholesterol-Free

Negative Side:

It has been reported that consumption of dairy milk also can prevent osteoporosis, cancers, dental caries.

High calcium in milk is important for development and maintenance of skeletal integrity and in maintaining bone strength.

Natural milk also has polyamines and nucleotides/nucleosides.

Basically, the argument on dairy milk in my opinion is not convincing. I tried flavoured and unflavoured soy milk . flavoured soy milk was so sugary that I literally felt like having sugar syrup and plain soy milk also had a powder milk smell in it. Also, one can not have it as it is. You have to add something as it has a strong taste of soy.

further, to exonerate water use I think it happens when we talk about the entire process till packaging and all but if you are living in the countryside and if you can buy milk from local farmers then it’s eco friendly , budget friendly and Healthy.

That’s it from side.
